BRIDGETTE IS CHEATING (PRANK!)

What Inspired You to Write Bridgette in the Night Kitchen

When I was little, I loved to bake with my mom. We would make cookies, cakes and pies together. I always loved the smell of fresh baked goods wafting through the house.

It was so cozy and comforting. When I grew up and had kids of my own, I wanted to create that same experience for them. So, I started writing recipes for fun little treats that they could help me make.

That’s how Bridgette in the Night Kitchen was born!

What Does This Book Teach Children About Coping With Bedtime Fears

The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree is a classic children’s book that has been teaching kids about coping with bedtime fears for generations. In the story, Brother and Sister Bear are afraid of going to bed at night because they think there is a monster in their closet. Their father tells them that there is no such thing as monsters, but the bears are still scared.

One night, they venture into the spooky old tree in their backyard and meet some friendly ghosts who help them overcome their fear of the dark. The Berenstain Bears and the Spooky Old Tree is a fun and easy-to-read story that will teach your child how to cope with their own bedtime fears.

How Did You Come Up With the Idea for the Characters in This Book

I actually didn’t come up with the idea for the characters in this book. I found a book on Amazon called “The Character Bible” and it has a list of over 500 different character types. I went through the list and chose the characters that I thought would be the most interesting to write about.
